COMMITED TO ENHANCING DRUG CONTROL EFFORTS

Uniting public safety and public health agencies to reduce drug overdoses

Vision

Our vision is to forge collaborative partnerships with law enforcement and community-based organizations that prioritize our residents’ health, safety, and welfare.

Mission

Our mission is to support and enhance collaborative drug control and overdose reduction efforts among law enforcement agencies and public health organizations. We aim to identify, disrupt, and dismantle drug trafficking organizations by conducting comprehensive investigations.

We seek to combat drug-related violence and associated gun and gang violence through partnerships and innovative strategies. We also provide timely intelligence and promote information sharing among public safety and public health partners.

Dedicated to reducing drug overdoses in the Central Valley, CA

The Central Valley California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area’s (CVC HIDTA) primary focus is controlling the spread of illicit narcotics to reduce drug poisoning. The CVC HIDTA brings federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies together to combat drug trafficking. Through the Overdose Response Strategy (ORS), the CVC HIDTA facilitates cooperation between public health and public safety entities to help communities impacted by the overdose epidemic.

Overdose Monitoring Program

The Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMap) is an unprecedented overdose detection tool. With near real-time data, public health and safety are able to unite their efforts to reduce drug overdoses within their community in a more timely and effective manner.
